Block of 4 adjoining houses, single build. 1850. Rendered mass
wall construction; slate hipped roofs with read rolls; stacks
with brick and rendered shafts. Cast-iron rainwater goods and
cast-iron sills to the windows.
PLAN: 4 houses arranged as a symmetrical block. The centre
houses face south onto the street, the outer pair (double
fronted) are end on to the street.
EXTERIOR: centre houses 3 storeys, outer pair 2 storeys.
Almost symmetrical 1:2:2:1-bay front. The pair fronting the
street have boxed eaves and round-headed doorways to the left.
The doorways have rusticated quoins and fanlights with spoke
glazing bars; doors are C20 replacements.
The centre houses have 16-pane hornless timber sashes to the
ground floor and 12-pane sashes to the first and second
floors.
The end walls of the outer pair each have one ground and one
first floor 16-pane timber sash windows. The front elevations
of the outer pair have central doorways matching those of Nos
65 & 67 and 16-pane timber sashes.
INTERIOR: not inspected but may retain features of interest.
