Rockhill House

II

Detached house set in its own grounds. Mid C18 with late C19
alterations. Colourwashed render, with ashlar copings, mansard
pantile roof and gable end rendered stacks.
PLAN: double-depth plan with central staircase and 2 reception
rooms either side.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey; 3-window range. Symmetrical west front
with central doorway flanked by late C19 3-light canted bays
with imposts and foliated capitals; incised segmental heads
and plate-glass sashes. First floor has plate-glass sashes in
plain reveals with sills. Steps up to central late C19 porch
with columns, richly carved capitals and flat hood; panelled
door with 2 pointed-arched lights.
