Two attached houses. Mid C17, remodelled C19 and with late C20
alterations. Squared and coursed rubble in distinct bands with
stone dressings and gabled pantile roofs with mid-ridge brick
stack.
PLAN: range of 3 elements, that to the centre higher than
flanking cottages; double-depth plans.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey; 2-window ranges. Main central facade has
doorway to left and 2 bays of ovolo-moulded mullions with late
C20 wooden casements in flush surrounds, those to ground floor
under flush stone relieving arches: ground-floor left is a
3-light late C20 replacement; 4-light window to right; 3-light
windows to first-floor. 2 cruciform metal braces above
ground-floor windows and 2 above upper window to right;
circular metal tie-beam end below eaves above door to left.
Late C20 door under wooden lintel to left; glazed, plank door
to right under mid C20 flat hood supported by return garden
wall. North end return wall has single-light window to attic
and 2-light ovolo-moulded mullion window to first floor. Much
restored west facade has C17 elements; east facade is wholly
early C19 with segmental stone arches over 2-light glazing-bar
casements; C20 porches except earlier trellised porch to
right.
