Terrace of 3 houses; now house, flat and two shops. Mid C18,
extended right and left early C19; conversion to present use
in mid C20. Colourwashed brick; with roofs of pantiles, plain
tiles and slate; internal gable end stack to left, central
ridge stack and ridge stack right of centre, the last formerly
at gable end.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and dormer attic; 10-window front. 5
centre window bays separated from remainder by giant pilasters
with block capitals: right pilaster truncated to allow
insertion of recessed door to No.49.
No.49: door is 6-panelled with glazed upper panels and
approached by steps: to right is subsidiary doorway and
additional inserted C20 sash window.
No.51: C20 plate glass door in timber doorcase of fluted
pilasters with plain entablature, to side of C20 bowed shop
display window.
No.51A: half-glazed door set in similar timber doorcase, and
similar bowed shop display window.
All ground floor sashes have 6/6 glazing bars and gauged
skewback arches. First floor sashes all with flush frames and
6/6 glazing bars.
Dentilled eaves cornice. Gabled roof with two dormers, one
hipped and fitted with a 2/2 unhorned sash, the other
flat-topped with a 2-light casement.
INTERIOR: No.49 has chamfered spine beam with jewel stops.
