House. Probably early to mid C19, perhaps incorporating some
earlier fabric to rear. Roughly-coursed mixed rubble with
sandstone quoins, graduated slate roof. T-plan formed by
single-depth front range with service wing to rear. 2 storeys
and 3 windows, symmetrical; central doorway with plain
surround and recessed re-used studded board door; two 16-pane
hornless sashed windows at ground floor and 3 above; all these
openings with monolith lintels. Roof with oversailing
bracketed gable verges and gable chimneys. Rear wing of 2 low
storeys, with lean-to porch in north angle, and gable chimney.
INTERIOR: altered by contains C19 staircase. Forms group with
Mill Cottage (qv) adjoining to the left, and with Millers
Cottage (qv) to the right.
