Barn and shippon. Probably late C18 and C19. Slobbered rubble,
stone slate roof to shippon, corrugated sheet to barn. L-plan:
long barn on north-south axis, shippon forming an east wing at
the south end. The barn has a large square wagon doorway in
the east side (with a rail for a sliding door), 2 square
windows to the right and a square loading door above these.
The north side of the shippon has a wide square-headed doorway
offset left, an oblong window to the right, a loading window
above and between these, and at the east end a large external
stone staircase to a loft doorway. The east gable has pigeon
holes and above these an illegible datestone (popularly
believed to be inscribed "1399"). Forms part of a prominently
sited group with High Hall (qv).
