Barn. Probably C18; altered and enlarged. Mixed random rubble,
with large sandstone quoins and some through-stones; stone
slate roof. Rectangular 5-bay plan on north-south axis, plus a
large outshut added to the west side. Slit breathers. East
side has blocked wagon doorway to 4th bay, with long rubble
voussoirs; 2nd bay now enclosed by single-storey porch-wing of
house. West side covered by added outshut under catslide roof.
South gable wall has enlarged doorway. INTERIOR: 4 collar
trusses of light scantling.
Forms group with Gale Garth Farmhouse (qv) and barn to south
(qv).
