Stable block. Probably mid C18 with C19 rear extension. Red
brick with dentilled eaves, plain-tile and slate roofs with
rear C19 integral eaves chimney.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Continuous range aligned
north-west/south-east divided by central round-arched carriage
opening. Rear extension on north side. 4-window range. To each
side of central carriageway are two 2-light casements at first
floor with an additional single-light casement on right.
Ground floor with round-arched doorways flanked by single and
double segmental-arched window openings each side. All windows
with altered fenestration and doorways partly bricked-up.
Central carriageway arch with large clock face over surmounted
by flat-roofed eminence projecting through eaves. Eminence
capped with balustrade of turned oak balusters fronting
octagonal cupola housing bell and weather-vane over. Rear with
gable over carriage arch with dentilled verge. Hipped parallel
range to right. 2 casements to left and various plain boarded
doors to doorways and openings. Rear wing with 3 carriage shed
entrances under elliptical brick arches flanked by slightly
advanced brick panels with inset arched panels each end. Deep
eaves with corbelled brick brackets.
INTERIOR: stable stalls survive in north-west wing.
