Farmhouse. C17 with C19 alterations and extensions. Coursed
rubble with brick dressings. Painted timber-frame with brick
infill panels to rear. Plain-tile roofs. Main range has large
stone projecting eaves stack with C19 stepped brick shaft and
partly projecting C19 brick gable-end stack. Main range of 2
framed bays with C19 end extension. C19 cross wing.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey, attic and cellar. Entrance front at
north-west side of cross wing. Plain boarded door set in
lean-to extension masking cross wing ground floor. 2 gabled
semi-dormers set between square framing with brick infill. To
right is the main range. To left is single-storey gabled
extension projecting from lean-to. Cross wing gable end:
2-light casement at first floor with 3-light casement below,
both with brick segmental arches. Cross wing rear (south-east)
is 3-window range of 2-light casements all with C20 concrete
lintels, the right window on each floor blocked with brick.
2-light cellar casement to right. To left is gable end of main
range with first-floor 2-light casement, ground-floor 3-light
casement, single-light attic casement. Main range side wall to
north-west: 2-bay square framing 2 panels high at first floor,
with girding beam, studs with middle rails, braces at truss
posts, and 2-light casement. Framing continued behind stone
stack to right. 2-light casement with brick segmental lintel
set in ground-floor stone rubble wall. To left is one-bay C19
end extension with brick segmental arches over casements with
moulded brick sills, and with blank gable return and rear
walls.
INTERIOR: deep chamfered bridging beams and paired dragon
beams in framed bays at ground floor.
