Farmhouse, now farmhouse and flat. Late C16 with C17 and C18
extensions. Brick, painted timber-frame with painted rendered
panels on brick plinth. Plain-tile roof. Brick ridge stack
with 6 spurred shafts and original cap, brick projecting eaves
chimneys to C18 extension with 3 spurred shafts, and C19
chimney to north cross wing.
EXTERIOR: main 3-window range with 2-window range C18
extension to south, and C17 cross wing to north also with C18
extension. 2 storeys with attic and cellar. East front: 3
framed bays to centre with additional half-bay, close-studded
with some square framing with sill plate, girding beam, posts,
mid rail with studs, former window-sill rails. Single 2-light
casement in middle bay with 3-light C20 window below. C18
extension to left with 2-light casement over front entrance
door. Flat lead-roofed canopy over plain beaded boarded door
with ovolo-moulded door frame lintel. C20 casement window to
ground-floor left. To right is gable-end of cross wing with
single stone mullion windows with stone surround on 3 storeys,
3-light at attic, 5-light at first floor, 4-light with leaded
lights at ground floor. Right return of cross wing to north:
2-storey, 2-window range of stone mullion windows with stone
surrounds, 4-light to first floor and 3-light to ground floor,
with the left side brick-blocked and part covered by
projecting brick stack. Entrance door to flat in centre: plain
boarded door in door frame with cambered head. Left gable
return: 2 C20 casements at first floor and single C19 casement
in attic, ground floor masked by C20 single-storey extensions.
Rear of main range: 2-storey, 2-window range of 3-light
casements with top lights. Projecting stack and ground-floor
lean-to to right. To left is projecting cross wing extension
wing with single 3-light casement to each storey. Entrance to
cellar with plain boarded door at the foot of flight of steps.
