Farmhouse. Dated 1672. Timber frame with painted rendered and
painted brick panels, stone rubble end bay extensions.
Plain-tile roof. Central stone rubble ridge stack with
restored brick shaft. Plan of main range of 2 framed bays with
2-framed-bay end extension range, with stone extensions each
end.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic, and single-storey and attic.
North front of main range of square framing 5 panels high with
straight tension brace to left, partly covered by C20 lean-to
extension to right. Restored timber mullion window at first
floor. Framed extension range to left with C19 4-panelled
part-glazed front door with tiled lean-to canopy, C20 casement
to left, tiled gabled dormer with 2-light casement. Stone
extension bay to far left with plain boarded door and mullion
window in brick segmental arch openings.
Right return side of main range: gable-end truss of straight
tie beam, vertical struts and double collar with casements set
between. Covered at lower level by stone end-extension range.
Rear of main range of square framing 5 panels high with
straight tension brace at each end. 2 C19 3-light casements on
each storey, plain doorway with C20 gabled porch painted to
imitate timber frame. Framed extension wing to right with
square framing one panel high at first floor over painted
brick ground floor with 2 ground-floor metal C20 casements.
Stone extension bays each end with brick segmental arched
openings.
