Shown on O.S. Map as Hall Farmhouse.
Farmhouse. Dated 1620, large C18 extensions, late C20
alterations. Painted timber frame, painted render and
roughcast render, C20 casements throughout. Plain-tile roofs.
Projecting stone stack with brick upper shaft, integral brick
ridge stack and gable-end stack. H-shaped plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Farmyard (south) side with 2 C18
projecting 2-storey gabled painted rendered wings with bands
at first-floor and ceiling levels, single window each storey
to right side and 2 windows over single window to left with
sundial in gable. Linking range with 2 gabled dormers over
window to left and projecting lean-to entrance porch to right.
Street (west) side: square framing 2 panels high with straight
arched braces and single window at first storey, roughcast
render with 3 windows at ground storey, projecting stone stack
to right. Opposite side covered by C20 extensions.
Rear garden (north) side: one projecting wing each side. To
left is rendered gable with 2 windows over single window and
painted imitation timber frame; to right is timber-framed
gable with cambered tie beam, vertical struts, collar,
principals with parallel lapped raking struts and short
linking raking struts forming unusual pattern, twin
trenched-purlin roof evident, 2 first-storey windows set in
square framing, C20 glazed extension covers ground floor.
Linking range with 2 gabled dormers over 2 windows with
segmental-arched heads.
INTERIOR: much altered but retains ceiling beams in main
rooms.
