Farmhouse, sometime parish workhouse, afterwards the Blue Bell
Inn, then 2 houses, now one house. Dated 1679. Stone rubble
with wider plinth. Plain-tile roofs. T-shaped plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. C20 renewed wood casement
windows with stepped ashlar hoodmoulds on each gable end at
each storey and stepped attic casements in each gable apex.
Integral brick eaves stack to rear. Street front with central
gable with symmetrical gabled wings each side. C20 boarded
door in original opening on right return side of gable,
inscribed stone over door: `H.V.E. 1679' for Vincent and
Eleanor Hammond. Lean-to extension covers rear wall.
