Somershey including railings

House. Early C19. Brick with painted storey band, rendered
side wall. Slate roofs. Partly projecting brick gable-end
stack to left gable and integral brick stack to all remaining
gables. Rectangular plan of 2 parallel ranges facing street.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. Street front with two 6/6
sashes over single flat-roofed canted bay-window fitted with
2/2:4/4:2/2 sashes. Doorcase to right with painted moulded
architrave with semicircular head, panelled reveals, fanlight
with radial bars, 5-panelled door. Casements at upper level on
gable ends with tall staircase window at the junction of the 2
parallel ranges on the left side.
Rear: advanced gable to left with single 6/6 sash, attic
lunette, canted bay window at ground storey; 3/6 sash at upper
storey to right, lower storey covered by lower 2-storey
extension wing.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: cast-iron railings and gate attached to
side wall and running along the front garden: vase-capped main
standards and arrow-head secondary standards.
