Farmhouse now house. C17 core, C19 extensions and extensive
late C20 restoration. Painted timber frame and painted infill
panels at first floor, stone rubble ground floor, covered with
painted cement render to rear. C20 unpainted timber casements
throughout. Plain-tile roofs with C20 integral brick ridge
stacks. Originally T-shaped on plan with projecting gable of
cross wing now a central feature with extension wing to right.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Front with central gable truss of square
framing below tie beam with diagonal bracing inset to form
lozenge patterns, with similar pattern forming the left return
side, tie beam interrupted by C20 window, truss of collar with
vertical struts below and twin raking struts above, both with
diagonal inset bracing. Main range framing to left of
rectangular square framing with middle rail with rebuilt
left-hand gable end. Rear: central gable timber framing
mirroring front gable but without the inset diagonal bracing.
