Farmhouse, now house. C17 and possibly earlier with extensive
mid C20 restoration, refronting and addition. Regular coursed
blue lias rubble with ashlar dressings; steeply pitched
renewed tile roofs with stone ridge and internal stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2-storeys, symmetrical 5-window range with C20
2-window, double-gabled, range to right. Symmetrical
composition has centre breaking forward under coped gable and
projecting gabled end wings, that to left coped; plain coped
parapet. Tudor-headed entrance has label mould and C20 door.
Single-chamfered mullioned windows have labelmoulds and leaded
glazing: 4-light and 2-light windows flank entrance, 3-light
end windows; first floor has central single light and 2-light
window to right, but 3-light window to left of centre. C20
range to right in similar style: French window and 3-light
windows.
Rear facing yard has recessed gabled left end; Tudor-headed
entrance with paired battened doors and varied fenestration
including gabled dormer.
INTERIOR: has full-height hall with arcade or spere truss,
arcade posts, one with lower part removed, with 4-way arched
braces, tie-beam, angle struts and wind braces. Large stone
fireplace with bressumer and hood, possibly in former through
passage (present entrances do not align). Room to left has
stop-chamfered ovolo-moulded beams with similar joists; varied
doors and other rooms with chamfered beams.
