Formerly known as: No.173 White Horse Inn MAIN ROAD.
Inn, now house. C16 or C17 with late C20 restoration and
addition. Timber-frame with plaster infill, blue lias wing to
rear; tile roofs with blue lias rubble and brick end stacks.
L-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. Jettied first floor.
Ground floor has canted bay windows with 6-pane casements;
first floor has 3- and 2-light casements. Close-studded
framing to ground floor, square framing to first floor. Gabled
roof.
Returns have stacks with off-sets and brick shafts; left
return with lean-to porch with paired doors, right return with
lean-to porch and small first-floor window.
Rear has 2-storey wing with large C20 addition to left.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
