ALDERMINSTER

SP24NW High Meadow
1912-1/6/22

House. c1790. Brick Flemish bond with buff headers; slate roof
with stone-coped gables and projecting end stacks. Georgian
style. L-plan.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Top moulded
brick cornice. Round-headed entrance has doorcase with reeded
pilasters and bracketed open pediment, fanlight with radial
glazing bars over 4-panel door, the upper 2 panels
round-headed; C19 iron gabled porch has openwork details and
scrolly front panel. Windows have sills, and rubbed brick flat
arches, over 8/8 sashes to ground floor, 6/6 sashes to 1st
floor, and 3/3 sashes to 2nd floor; most have horns.
Rear has 2-storey gabled wing with C19 addition; entrance with
6-flush-panel door, one window has small-paned cross-casement;
lean-to outshut to left.
INTERIOR: noted as having central stick-baluster staircase.
