18/03/97 5 headstones approx. 12m south of
Lady Chapel to Church of St Peter

GV II

5 headstones. Early C18. Limestone ashlar. 2 small rectangular
inscription tablets approx. 18" x 18" surmounted by moulded
decoration, now eroded.
To east of these a rectangular headstone with central oval
inscription plate with fronds to sides and surmounted by
cherub-head within eroded swan-neck pediment.
To its south-east a rectangular tablet with acroteria and
slightly depressed inscription tablet, now eroded.
To its north-east a rectangular tablet with moulded surround
and fielded inscription tablet surmounted by broken swan-neck
pediment with cherub-head between.
All the listed items in the Churchyard form a good group with
Church of St Peter (qv).
