Includes: No.2 CHURCH WALK Wellesbourne Mountford.
Row of 5 houses and shop. C18 and C19. Brick with stucco
dressings; gabled slate roofs with brick end and cross-axial
stacks. Nos 3 & 5 built as one block with the Stag's Head
Public House (qv) c1700; No.7 built c1750; Nos 5 & 7
refronted, and No.9 and No.2 Church Walk built c1835; No.3
refronted or rebuilt c1850.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 5-window range with 3-window range
recessed to left end, and lower single-window range (No.3) to
right. Top brick cornices. 2 entrances with doorcases with
cornices over 4-panel doors (2 panels glazed). Ground floor
has central canted bay window with hipped tile roof over
plate-glass sashes; canted bay to left has cornice over
4/4:8/8:4/4 sashes; small-paned shop window to right. First
floor has windows with sills, and rusticated wedge lintels
over 8/8 sashes.
Range to left has similar windows with 8/8 sashes; end stack.
No.3 has entrance with 4-panel door; canted bay with cornice
over 4/4:8/8:4/4 sashes to left and 2-light small-paned
casement to right, possibly former through passage; first
floor has sill, and rusticated wedge lintel to 8/8 sash. End
stack.
