Farmhouse. Late C17/early C18; C20 restoration. Coursed
squared limestone with brick rebuilding to right return;
steeply pitched machine tile roof with brick end stack and
ridge stacks. L-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. Gable to right end marks
wing. Narrow lean-to projection to left end; ashlar quoins and
diagonal buttress to right end. Entrance to right of centre
has C20 door in wood frame. Windows have timber lintels over
C20 casements; 2-light casement to each floor to left of
entrance, and 3-light casement over entrance with 2-light
casement above to gable. Brick end stack. Right return mostly
rebuilt in brick, with C20 windows and 2 brick cross-axial
stacks.
Rear has late C20 re-entrant block; entrance with renewed
lintel over C20 door and to right end a window to each floor
with timber lintel over 2-light small-paned casement with iron
opening casement. Wing has entrance with inserted lintel over
C20 door and a plaque above inscribed: JULY.XX.R.W./ MDCCXLV/
R.B.; window above has 2-light small-paned casement with iron
opening casement; quoins to left end. End of wing has raking
brick buttress with blocked first-floor and attic windows.
