GV II

House. Late C18 with early-mid C19 additions and alterations
including extension to right. Reddish-brown brick in Flemish
bond with sandstone ashlar to ground-floor rear and sides and
ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof. Central hallway plan.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3 first-floor windows, 2-storey, single
bay to right. Main range, centre bay projects and is
pedimented; quoins to ground floor ends and project. First
floor: band, 6/6 sashes. Second floor: 3/3 sashes. All in
plain reveals with sills and flat arches of rubbed brick and
keystones.
Ground floor: 3 steps to central entrance a 6-fielded-panel
door with fanlight with Tuscan pilastered jambs and in
doorcase with Tuscan pilasters, frieze and cornice. Canted
bays to either side have 8/2 centres and 4/1 sides with Tuscan
pilasters between and with sills. Frieze, cornice. To right
extension, first floor has projecting casement; ground floor
has 6/6 sash in plain reveals with flat arch of rubbed brick
and keystone, sill. End stack to main range and to right with
cornices.
Rear has 6/6 sashes and bay window with 6/6 between 2/2
sashes.
INTERIOR: openwell staircase has stick balusters, beamed
ceilings.
