Manor house with attached railings, gates and piers. c1700
with later additions and alterations including C20
restorations and ranges to rear. Limestone ashlar with plain
tile roof and pinkish-brick chimneys. L-shaped on plan.
2 storeys with attic to left gable, 4 first-floor windows.
Multi-pane casements throughout. Off-centre entrance a
part-glazed door in architrave with fluted Doric pilasters and
hood. Tall ridge stack between third and fourth windows with
cornice. Stepped rear stacks to extension.
INTERIOR: main hall has panelling and staircase with
barleytwist balusters, exposed beams and rafters.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: slender area railings to right side have
2 levels of bars and circle motif, with tall, columnar end-
and gate-piers surmounted by ball finials.
Forms a group with Church of St Mary Magdalene, Church Street,
Lillington (qv).
