Terrace of 5 house, now flats and attached railings.
c1818-1828 with later alterations. Reddish-brown brick with
painted stucco front facades and Welsh slate roof with
cast-iron balconies and railings.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with basements, 10 first-floor windows (2
per house). First-floor band to Nos 19, 25 and 27 surmounted
by tall pilaster strips to ends of each house. Tall 6/6 sashes
except to centre house are 12-pane French windows all in plain
reveals. Second floor: 3/6 sashes throughout, mainly with
horns, and with cornices. Ground floor: entrances (alike) to
left side on No.19 otherwise to right: 4 and 5 steps to
6-panel doors in fielded-panel surrounds with overlights with
glazing-bars, within pilastered surrounds, pulvinated friezes
except to No.23, cornices. 6/6 sashes throughout, to Nos 19,
25 and 27 within wider and taller elliptically-arched
recesses. Basements: 10/10 sashes to 3 right houses. End
stacks to Nos 19 and 21. Individual balconies with
circle-and-anthemion motif to first floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: lancet railings to sides of steps and
across front.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Brunswick Street marked out by 1818, built by
1828.
