Villa, now 2 dwellings. c1848-1856 with later additions and
alterations. Pinkish-yellow brick with painted stucco front
facade, Welsh slate roof and cast-iron verandah. Central
hallway plan.
2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Plinth, alternately
vermiculated quoins. 2 steps to central entrance a
part-glazed, part-panelled door with cambered overlight in
plain reveals and with alternately vermiculated Gibbs
surround. 2/2 sashes in plain reveals and with tooled
surrounds throughout, those to ground floor are larger, those
to first floor have Venetian blinds and blind boxes.
First-floor sill band projects below windows. Wide eaves,
hipped roof, end and rear stacks. Ground floor has continuous
verandah with double-scroll motif to uprights.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms an architectural group with Nos 12-24 (even) Avenue Road
(qqv).
