Post. Cast-iron. C18. The lower part decorated with acanthus
ornament. This is all that remains of a post and chain fence
which once stood outside the house which was, at one time,
occupied by Henry and Hester Thrale. Henry and Hester Thrale
were friends of Dr Johnson.
