Terraced houses. c1845. Stucco, roofs obscured by parapet.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys over basement, No.27 two-window range, the
rest one-and-a-half, sharing central blank first-floor
windows. Flat-arched entrance, those to Nos 28-31 having
overlights and grouped in pairs behind a segmental arch; all
windows flat-arched; canted bay to basement, ground and first
floors, the mullions treated as pilasters with stepped
capitals; each bay ends in a cornice, with dentil details on
Nos 30-31; central blank window with architrave and pediment
on Nos 28-29 and 30-31; second-floor windows have architraves
except to Nos 27 and 29 and there is a blank central shared
window with architrave to Nos 28-29 and 30-31; cornice and
blocking course, the cornice missing to No.28; stacks to party
walls.
INTERIORS: list descriptions of 28 November 1985 include, for
No.27: straight baluster staircase; arch; first-floor cornice;
shutters. For No.30: shutters to ground-floor front room;
straight baluster staircase, C19 fireplace surrounds and iron
grates on first floor; cornice on first and ground floors and
4 panel doors.
Dwarf garden and terrace walls with square stuccoed and
pedimented piers, several with banded rustication.
