Terrace house. c1825. Probably designed by Amon Henry Wilds
and Charles Augustin Busby. Stucco. Gambrel roof of slate.
3 storeys, attic and dormers over basement. 3-window range.
Remnants of mid to late C19 shop front to ground floor:
entablature with acanthus bracket stops. All windows are flat
arched. First-floor, floor-to-ceiling windows open out onto a
shallow balcony enclosed by cast-iron railings. Second-floor
windows have projecting sills. 4 giant Tuscan pilasters with
moulded capitals applied to the first and second floors
support a broad entablature with projecting cornice. Sills of
attic windows level with the upper fascia of this cornice.
Attic has a diminutive entablature topped by a parapet. 2
flat-arched dormers to the roof. Many sashes of original
design: 9/9 to first floor, 6/6 to second and 3/6 to attic.
Stacks to party wall.
