Pair of villas, now offices. Mid C19; altered. Red brick with
painted stone dressings, slate roof. Italianate style. U-plan
formed by double-depth main range with receding wings.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 6-window range. Symmetrical facade, the
windows arranged 1:2+2:1; rusticated quoins, a sill band to
each floor, a broad band over first floor, a mutuled cornice
carried across the whole and pedimented gables to the wings.
The main range has 4 2/2 sashes with moulded architraves on
each floor; the wings each have a canted bay window with a
dentilled cornice and round-headed 1/1 sashes, and at first
floor a sashed window like those of the main range but with
addition of a segmental pediment on consoles. Cut-down ridge
chimneys.
Entrances in return side of each wing, with projected
pilastered and corniced architraves.
