Statue. 1900. By FA Taubman. Bronze statue of Sir Sydney Waterlow in contemporary dress holding hat and umbrella in right hand and keys to park in left. Portland stone pedestal inscribed "Sir Sydney H. Waterlow Bart./Donor of this park/1889/Lord Mayor of London 1872-1873/Erected by public subscription 1900".

HISTORICAL NOTE: Sir Sydney Waterlow presented both Lauderdale House (qv), and Waterlow Park to the London County Council in 1889; the park was opened to the public in 1891.
