Western of 2 lodges to Kenwood House, Kenwood (qv), flanked by
gates and gate piers. c1795. By George Saunders. Brick, the
lodge painted cream and with slated roof and central octagonal
chimney. Sashed windows under gauged, flat arches. Projecting
pedimented wing to road. Victorian rendered extension to rear.
Brick piers have Portland stone caps. One wrought-iron
overthrow with lantern holder to left entrance.
INTERIOR not inspected.
Formerly listed in the London Borough of Barnet, the land
south of Hampstead Lane was transferred to LB Camden on
1.4.94.
