Late C17. Two storeys. Colourwashed brick. Applied timber-framing. Two C19 wood canted sashed bays firstst floor, ground floor C19 shops. Parapet one with balustrade. Two dormers in old tile roof.
Nell Gwyn is said to have lodged here. Pepys' Diary, July 14, 1667 records Nell Gwyn as lodged in the next house to the King's Head, and it has been assumed that this is the one.
