Two tomb chests approx. 5 metres east
of chancel of Church of St Nicholas

GV II

Two tomb chests parallel and approx. 1 metre apart. Mid C18. Limestone. Both
are in classical style, with flat rectangular bases and moulded plinths; that to
the south has sockets of former railings in the base, vase-shaped corners, raised
fielded panels in the sides and ends; that to the north has rusticated corners and
plain sides and ends. Both have eroded inscriptions, and were overgrown with ivy
at the time of the survey (1988).
