Almhouses. Erected in 1871 in memory of Charles Webb of Clapham Common by his
children. Coursed sandstone block, now partly renewed, with plain tiled roofs.
Yellow brick stacks with red brick patterning. Symmetrical plan. Two storey
end blocks flanking lower, single storey central range. Square corbelled
stacks in angle re-entrants with wings, ridge stacks to left and right of centre.
Moulded eaves cornice to centre. One 2-light, glazing-bar sash window with
18 panes to each light in stone mullioned surround on the first floor of each
wing, with relieving arches over. One 3-light window on ground floor below.
Two 2-light sashes with mullions either side of centre on central range. Doors,
all with strapwork hinges and arched, chamfered heads, to ends in set back bays;
two further doors either side of centre. Left hand return front- corbelled
eaves and corbelled band across first floor. 3-light casement window below.
