House, now shop. Late C16, reconstructed in early C20. Timber framed, clad in
whitewashed render and with plain tiled roof. Two storeys and attics in triple
gabled ranges facing Quarry Street on the right hand return front. Diagonally
placed stacks to rear right. Bargeboarded gable end-on to High Street with two,
2-light leaded attic casements under drip moulds. Large square oriel window to
first floor under hipped plain-tiled roof with continuous mullioned and transomed
leaded glazing across the front and sides. Fixed glazing-bar windows on the ground
floor with curved corner to left of door in recess. Right hand return front:- first
floor jettied with braced dragon beam to left and 3 pairs of braces to centre/right.
Floral and foliage carved decoration on bressumer board. Triple gables above with
lead gutters on scroll brackets and with decorative hoppers. One leaded casement
in attic of each gable, one flush, mullioned and transomed leaded casement window
below on first floor of each gable. Three large fixed windows on the ground floor
with doors to right of centre and in lower range to right.
Interior:- some frame exposed on upper floors.
