II
Clock tower and former stable block to former Mount Felix, now offices. 1835-9 by
Sir Charles Barry in Italianate style. Stucco with hipped pan tiled roof. 2 storeys,
5 bays with quoined edges, glazing bar tripartite sash windows to first floor in
strip surrounds. Modern glazed doors to ground floor centre . Central clock tower
with half round window at first floor level, square panel containing circular clock
face above. Freize cornice with rusticated angle piers to first stage. Flat
square open ball turret with rusticated corner piers above under pyramidal ;ead
roof supporting ornamental weathervane.
The house, Mount Felix was built for the 5th Lord Tankerville and burnt down.
