Shop. C16 core; early C19 and C20 front. 2 storeys: L-shaped plan. The
front is in 2 sections, and is jettied on the left side; a long rear range,
extending down Crown & Anchor Lane, is also partly jettied. Timber-framed and
rendered with plaintiled roofs. Small-paned sash windows in flush frames to
the upper storey; C20 fascias and shop windows; the remains of C19 pilasters
and ornate console brackets. Inside the building many of the main timbers
have been boxed-in, but a few principal components are visible, and the frame
appears to be reasonably complete, although the roof is inaccessible. The
corner-post has been removed, but a boxed-in dragon-beam remains.
