Farmhouse. Early C16 with alterations of later C16 and c.1970. 2 storeys.
Originally of 2-cell cross-passage plan form. Timber-framed and plastered.
Hipped thatched roof with internal chimney of red brick. C20 casements with
leaded lights. C20 boarded entrance doors. Good quality timber-framing fully
exposed internally. Of the 1st phase is a blocked cross-passage doorway with
4-centred arched head, and a pair of service room doorways, one complete.
Several blocked diamond-mullioned windows. Parlour cell added later C16, with
exceptionally close studding and moulded mullioned windows; chimney inserted
between hall and parlour with back-to-back open fireplaces. Left-hand cell
C19, with oak framing introduced c.1970. Projecting wing to right added
during restoration of c.1970.
