Farmhouse. C16; the red brick casing to the ground floor has a brick dated
'J.D.V1869'. Main range with cross wing to right hand side. Timber framed
and plastered in panels, some red brick casing, mainly to the ground floor;
roofs plaintiled to front, pantiled to rear. 2 storeys with attics to the
main range. 3 cell main range. 5 windows (including cross wing), various
casements; lobby entrance with C19 4-panel door and plain rectangular
fanlight. There is a small gable over the window at the right hand end of the
main range, with a further identical doorway below. The main range has one
gabled dormer and an internal stack with rebuilt flues clustered in sawtooth
fashion; the base of the stack has an inset rectangular panel within which is
a brick inscribed 'E'over'HB'. Good original 5-light mullion and transom
window to rear of main range, the lower lights now blocked. Moated site.
