C17 with C18 face, two storey, timber framed (partly), plastered, lined as ashlar, plinth. Tiles, eaves soffit. Six windows, sash with flush frames, now with centre glazing bars only. Modern entrance built into original way through for coaches.
Once owned and occupied by Peter Pett who was Pepys predecessor at the Admiralty and who is mentioned in the latter's Diary.
The Crown Hotel and Nos 4 to 34 (even) form a group.
