An early C16 laand later timber-framed and plastered house, built on an L shaped
plan. The front block has an early C19 brick facade, now colourwashed. The roof
is tiled (C20) with a nearly central chimney stack. The fabric to the left of
the stack is C17 and to the right late C16. 2 storeys. 3 window range, double-
hung sashes with glazing bars, in plain reveals. An early C16 hall wing extends
at the rear with a 1 bay hall which has been restored to its original 2 storey
height. It has exposed timber-framing and roof structure, the remains of an
original panelled parition and a wide ingle nook fireplace. There are 2 original
windows with diamond mullions and on the side wall there is a large brick chimney
breast with 3 offsets and a lofty rectangular chimney stack.
