Pair of cottages. Probably C17 origin, altered C19 and C20.
Painted brick in irregular bond; grey slate roof has ridge
parallel with the street.
One and a half storeys. No plinth; a door of 2 recessed panels
above 2 flush panels, 2 mullioned and transomed 3-light
casements with leaded glazing in the side lights and a 4-pane
fixed light to the first storey; two 3-light casements,
similar to those to the first storey, in gabled half-dormers,
and a nearly flush 12-pane unequal sash, further west; exposed
rafters; flush verges; an added recessed one-storey wing,
west; a large brown-brick chimney at centre of ridge and a
smaller chimney, west, in front of the ridge.
The rear has 3-light casements of horizontal proportion.
