Remains of Roman military amphitheatre. C2. Sandstone. Visible
remains comprise parts of lower stonework of north half of the
amphitheatre: up to 14 courses of stone wall between theatre
and auditorium; lower side walls of vomitorium, north;
narrower access east. The foundation lines of the north half
of the auditorium are marked in concrete strips in the grass.
The site of the south half of theatre and auditorium is
concealed by a high wall, and any remains are at present
wholly covered.
