Small country house, c1830. Now pebbledashed; hipped grey
slate roofs.
2 storeys; recessed entrance bay, a one-window wing, right and
left and a slightly recessed one-window outer wing, right.
Painted plinth; a probably Edwardian verandah of 5 timber
round-arched 6;6-pane lights to front of entrance bay; a
tripartite 3;9;3-pane sash with frieze and cornice in each
wing next to verandah; a 9-pane sash far right. The first
floor has a 9-pane sash to entrance bay, one to left wing and
two to right wings; all sashes are recessed; painted brick
chimneys.
The left side has a canted 2-storey bay window with a French
casement in each face, and a formerly one-window bay left with
openings blocked. The first floor has a Gothick window of 12
square panes below attractive cusped tracery in each face of
bay window.
The rear has a 2-storey canted bay window close to left side
with windows as in the bay described; near centre of rear face
a 6-light casement and a Gothick casement to the ground floor
and 2 Gothick casements to the first floor.
INTERIOR: a good open-well open-string stair with panelled
newels, unusual brackets, turned balusters and swept rail;
5-panel doors; panelled embrasures; wall-panelling; ceiling
cornices.
