Coach house approximately 90 metres
north of Devonshire Hall

GV II

Coach house, stables and cottage, now university hall of
residence. Late C19, converted c1994. Coursed squared
gritstone, slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 unequal bays. Tudor style.
Gabled outer bays, round-arched carriage way bay 3 with gabled
hay-loft door above. Mullioned and cross windows; continuous
drip mould at 1st-floor level which steps up over the arch. An
elaborate louvred cupola with ogee leaded roof and tall
wrought-iron finial, bay 2. Gable copings, 2 stacks at eaves
level right, height reduced, taller banded stack, bay 3.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
