GV II

House. 1867-70. For Samuel Reffitt, dyer. Red brick, stone
keyed architraves and details, slate roof. 2 and 3 storeys, 3
bays. Central round-arched entrance in moulded architrave,
similar windows above, in a slightly projecting turret with
pyramid roof and finial. Plate-glass sashes throughout.
Segmental-arched heads to other windows, to right of entrance
a 3-light canted bay, paired windows above, a single window in
the scrolled gable storey. To left of entrance: paired windows
to ground and first floors, a carved stone roundel in a
narrower scrolled gable. Carved stone cornices to left and
centre, end stacks.
