Railway station, now offices. 1849. Probably by Grainger. For
Leeds and Thirsk Railways. Coursed squared rock-faced
gritstone, ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roof, end and ridge
stacks with moulded cornices. Wide eaves with paired curved
brackets. One and 2 storeys, sash windows, margin-light
glazing bars. Main range to right: 2-window projecting gable
in centre with blind doorway and windows below, blank wall
either side over doorway left, window right. Stone flat
arches. Single-storey range left: similar with paired sashes
centre. Facade to railway: 3 windows, central doorway, sashes
in projecting gable; clock-face in gable right. Fine finials
to gable apexes and corners of roofs. Original low platform
has stone slabs and kerbstones.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
