House, now 3 cottages. C17/early C18, with C19 and C20 alterations. Coursed
squared ironstone with brick nogged cornice; Midvale is roughcast; No.2 has
scored render on front wall; Tomlow is stuccoed. Concrete tile roof; No.2 and
Tomlow have coped gable parapets; brick end stacks; Midvale has reduced and
rendered ridge stack. L-plan, with wing on right forming No.2. Two storeys and
attic; 3 bays. No.1 on left is 2-window range. Central old ribbed door with wood
lintel and C20 open-fronted brick porch. Late C20 two and 3-light casements.
Late C20 single-storey rear addition. Interior noted as having open fireplace
with chamfered bressumer; altered. No.2 has C20 brick lean-to in corner.
Corrugated iron roof. C20 door and small window to front, and window to return
side. Front has single attic light only. Left return side has 2-light, right
return side 3-light C19 casements, all with single horixontal glazing bar and
painted wood lintel. Interior: No.2 has large open fireplace. Broad chamfered
ceiling beam. No.3 has entrance in right return side. C20 timber part-glazed
porch and door. Late C20 windows above and to rear. Rear is 2-window range. Late
C20 single-storey addition. Interior not inspected.
