House, shop and attached workshop. c1770, with early and mid
C19 additions. Altered c1960. Brick, the front colourwashed,
with stone dressings and pantile roofs. Stone and rendered
plinths, cogged eaves, 2 gable and single ridge stacks. Front
and workshop windows have segmental heads. 3 storeys plus
garrets; 3 window range. Front has plain sashes and above,
smaller glazing bar sashes. Central segment headed 6-panelled
door and overlight, with plain flanking columns and cornice.
To right, early C19 wooden shopfront with glazed 2-leaf door
and shop window with glazing bars. To left, a single plain
sash. Left gable has a blocked window to garret. Mid C19 2
storey rear addition. Attached workshop, partly demolished
c1960, has gabled and hipped pantile roof. 2 storeys; 6 window
range. Outer windows are small-paned casements. To left, cart
opening and a door flanked by single C20 casements. To right,
a glazing bar sash flanked by single doors, all with segmental
heads. House interior has a late C18 winder stair, altered
C19, with stick balusters and octagonal newels.
