Former mill. Dated A.D. 1823. Red brick; clay tile roof. Gothic
style. 3-storey, 3-bay main building flanked by lower 2-storey,
single-bay wings. Main building: Pointed windows to ground and
first floors with Gothic glazing bars and returned hood moulds,
gabled projection to ground floor left with blind window, quatrefoil
lights to second floor, the central one blind, containing the coat of
arms and coronet of Earl Ferrers and the date; central ground-floor
and first-floor pointed board doors, the latter iron studded. Machinery
removed. A good Gothic Revival Mill largely unaltered externally and
making an important contribution to a picturesque grouping of buildings
adjacent to Blythebridge Mill House (q.v.).
